Lisa's Clarinet Shop

I took my 9 year old here for a clarinet. Lisa was absolutely amazing. I played clarinet for years, and decided to get my own mouthpiece to play it as well. Lisa took time to try out different mouthpiece's for both of us, and tried out several different clarinets. The time and dedication was truly wonderful. I would highly recommend getting a clarinet from her. I believe that this process and having a clarinet and mouthpiece that fits my daughter will benefit her playing and willingness to practice and stay with the instrument for years to come.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Lisa’s Clarinet Shop! My daughter needed an A clarinet. We live in a rural area and the only music shop in town doesn’t carry A clarinets. The nearest shops that carry A clarinets (3-4 hours away) had a limited selection in stock so we were hesitant to make the drive and not find a good match for her. While searching for alternatives, we discovered Lisa’s Clarinet Shop. We liked the idea of doing a trial of 3 clarinets at home (especially because my daughter’s clarinet instructor could be a part of the evaluation process) but were a little hesitant to call at first. We have never purchased an instrument this way before and we were a little unsure about how it would all work out. We decided to take a chance and give Lisa’s shop a call and are so glad that we did! From the minute we were connected with one of Lisa’s ambassadors, Zac, we knew that we were in good hands. Zac spent a lot of time getting details about my daughter’s needs and explaining the clarinet trial process. I am not a musician so I was very appreciative that Zac explained the musical aspects of the clarinet selection process in a way that was easy for me to understand. He was very knowledgeable and also patient with the questions we had along the way. Lisa sent 3 clarinets based on Zac’s assessment of which ones might be a good fit for her. My daughter was thrilled that one of those 3 clarinets was a perfect fit for her! As far as shipping, our communications with Sam regarding shipping were terrific too. We wholeheartedly recommend Lisa’s Clarinet Shop!

This would be my second instrument I've purchased at Lisa's Clarinet Shop. The first time was about five years ago when I needed a big step up from a cheap A clarinet I had bought elsewhere, and Lisa guided me to the beautiful Tosca I have today. Today, I realized my 35 year-old Bb Buffet R13 that has been my main instrument, was near the end of its days as a professional level instrument that I could rely on and was ready for an upgrade, too. Where to begin? I reviewed my options on-line different Buffet line-ups and in the end, really needed someone to again consult with to choose the right instrument for my needs. Lisa allowed me to try out a few different instruments that I was aiming for, and really understand the differences between them, and comparing against my old Bb, and then compared to the A I had purchased years ago. By repeating this cycle of comparison, it really helped me line up to the instrument I purchased today. In the end, I got a great companion instrument to go alongside my A. Thanks Lisa!

Cannot recommend Lisa’s Clarinet Shop enough. Lisa is always more than happy to go above and beyond for her customers, and is extremely easy to reach. She always has a fantastic selection of Buffet clarinets. I must say I love the color ring system she uses as it makes picking a clarinet tailored to you much easier. I have purchased 4 different clarinets from her, and each purchase has utilized the color-ring system. I have been extremely pleased with all of my clarinets and every single one of my colleagues who have tried my instruments comment on how wonderfully they play. The SeriO clarinets they offer are also excellent- I have not owned any, but have tried multiple and found them to be excellent. Recently traded in the two R13s I purchased from her a few years ago to get an A Clarinet to complete my set of Festivals and it was an extremely pleasant experience. I highly encourage any students or professionals looking to step up or get a new clarinet to reach out to Lisa- you won’t be disappointed.
