Wonderful. Needed to get a minor cello repair on a moments notice. They were able to squeeze me in before close of shop and let me wait while repair was being done. Saved the day as my son needed the just purchased cello for a performance for his grandfather’s (paid for large portion of the cello) birthday the next day. I’d have given 4.75 stars if I could. But the gruff manner of the luthier prohibited 5. It’s nitpicking…but maybe that is the price of being a superb artisan.

Sep 15, 2020 · Rocco CastallanteExcellent, friendly, and knowledgeable staff, and very reasonably priced services! I went in looking for some new strings and an adjustment for a fine tuner. The technician was happy to get to know my needs and answer any questions I had, and was gracious enough to perform some routine maintenance for my instrument while completing my adjustment. After completing my request, the technician pointed out a few spots of wear and tear he noticed on my instrument, and was happy to explain the issues and provide a quick estimate for each item. As an intermediate player, it was very helpful to hear these suggestions since I can't really identify them myself! I left Bachelder satisfied with their service, and with some new knowledge about my instrument. Will be planning to come back!
