Got a set of microphones for our Church. Leo one of their sales staff, was very helpful. He became like an instant brother to us 😃 Nice and clear sound 🙏😃

Excellent customer service by staff. However, I got robbed in that parking lot. 5pm on a Thursday. No cameras are looking into their parking lot from any of the stores, and the crooks know it. Feeling super stupid, but a gypsy started talking to me about my car and picked my pocket, stealing my wallet. So be careful when you go shopping there.

Decent prices and service. Their items are very limited at Guitar Center. Always check the website for the items you are looking for before you drive there. My advice, check out AVMAXX located in Chicago they are loaded with all the Dj needs you are looking for with reasonable prices. Good luck.

THE WORST service for drummers. I have been to and have spent money at at least 5 other Chicago land guitar centers. I am a loyal guitar center customer and have spent many thousands of dollars there over the last 2 decades The service I received here as a drummer was the absolute worst! I had inquiries about a particular premium snare drum that I had planned on purchasing (along with new heads). There were 2 loose lugs. I had a suspicion of what the problem would be and wanted the store to attempt repair, and I asked to watch the process to see what the issue was (in case it happened to me again, I could fix it). I was told the manager (drum tech) was in a meeting and I would have to wait 15 minutes. The repair then happened behind closed doors. The sales rep attempted to explain to me what the manager did to fix it, but it was clear he didn't know what he was talking about because he changed his story of what the manager did 2 times. I then asked to speak with the manager and was told he was still in a meeting and couldn't speak with him. I asked to see the drum one more time. As I inspected the snare side, I noticed some krinkles in the head on the bearing edge and asked to take the head off to inspect the shell to make sure it wasn't crushed or roughed. The sales rep said, "we're not disassembling the drum." I then explained (as a drummer of 27 years) how to properly remove the head safely and why I wanted to do it before purchasing it. He said, "look you can either buy it or not" and I lost it. I'm not proud of my reaction as I swore, but I was truly upset by this sales rep's lack of knowledge and straight up refusal to make $700. I didn't catch the sales rep's name, but he needs training on drums and percussion or refer the sale to someone different if he doesn't know what he's talking about. Also some customer service and sales training as he tried really hard to refuse the sale (which ultimately worked). This is the WORST guitar center in chicagoland. I'm going to stick to ordering from sweetwater. Goodbye from a former very loyal customer. 🫡

got my electric guitar here a few months back. SHOUTOUT MAC for being chill as hell 🔥 they helped me choose and everything! very fun too. the place is always really comfortable. i think there’s a lot of good options & the employees are always cool. hope to work here at some point hehe
