I brought my Fender Jagstang here for a set up, installation of two pickups, bridge replacement, new wiring, locking tuners and strap locks. Aaron did an amazing job on this guitar. It has a dynamic vibrato system on it that can make it tricky to work on. He ran into a couple problems with the spring tension but he stuck with it and ended up figuring out how to keep it balanced and now the guitar sounds better than ever. I'm looking forward to bringing another guitar to him soon and seeing what he can bring out in that instrument as well. If you're looking for improvements, a fix or if you have tricky problem with your guitar, bring it to Aaron. You will not be disappointed. I will not take my guitars anywhere else from now on.

I highly recommend Whiskeytown Guitar Repair. My mom gifted me her vintage 1951 Gibson acoustic guitar. I was surprised to find a Luthier in the Peoria area. I contacted Aaron and he inspected it and suggested a few repairs. And he also recommended the proper strings and a humidifier which I promptly purchased. Aaron at Whiskeytown is the only place I take my guitars to get worked on. I've sent him several high-skill jobs that other local "bigger" (cough, cough) locations wouldn't even look at, cause they couldn't do the job due to company regs or just didn't know how. That's the confidence I want when I have a rare vintage guitar that needs detailed repair...NOT. Took the same guitars to Aaron and he nailed them...great job, fair and accurate quotes and timelines, realistic expectations set and exceeded. He's worked on several high end vintage Martins for me, including the '67 D35 from the attached photos. The thing was a mess from a previous owner with a wood glue complex--bridge loose, binding everywhere, poor action and ruined frets. Aaron did an amazing job and now this beautiful old guitar looks and sounds better than I could have imagined when I took it in. Can't see myself taking my stuff anywhere else! Please do yourself a favor and do the same.

Got a new Epi J200SCE, which had an almost unplayable factory setup. Read about Aaron and gave him a call. Glad I did as his touch left my Epi so smooth and playable. The action was spot on. A great luthier is hard to find, support such talent, your guitar will thank you for it.

I originally took my old beat up Yamaha SG-RR to Aaron and he singlehandedly gave it new life. Aaron took this guitar from almost unplayable to perfection with his full guitar setup offering.
