Absolutely thrilled with the work Reeder Pianos did on our 1918 Knabe grand! When we bought our house, it came with the piano - and while we were excited because we both play, it was in rough shape. The lacquer was cracked, there was a massive water stain on the lid, and even had Christmas tree boughs left inside! Despite its condition, we fell in love with it. We took it to Reeder Pianos for refinishing, and they completely transformed it. The craftsmanship is truly incredible. The piano looks stunning – it looks/feels like a brand-new instrument (except rich resonance of its sound betrays its amazing history). The team at Reeder Pianos was professional, communicative, and passionate about their work. It’s clear they take immense pride in their craft. They even send out a monthly newsletter so we could see the progress of our piano and others being worked on alongside. We couldn't be happier with the results – this Knabe has truly become the centerpiece of our home. We would give six stars if we could!

Mar 12, 2025 · Tara Sievers-HuntThe crew showed up on time, carefully disassembled the piano and wrapped it for safe travel, brought it in to our home, reassembled it, put it where we wanted it and checked it out to make sure everything was good to go. Then the even took our old upright out to the garage for us. Great, pleasant crew! Everyone I spoke with at Reeder Piano was helpful, kind and courteous…and the move was very reasonably priced. Highly recommend!
Jan 03, 2024 · Brian D-J from Mason, MIIf you are a serious pianist, you will not want to miss this place. I have known the owners for more than 47 years! I stopped in on a whim today and got to play pianos AND got a tour of the piano rebuilding facility. When my Baldwin SD 10 was new this is the place Baldwin chose to transition my piano from artist service to my home. I strongly recommend stopping in there regardless of what kind of musician you are. Take a little bit of awe home with you!
Oct 25, 2018 · Peter PorcielloThis is the place to go for a piano! Used or new, concert grand to parlor sizes they have it.
Jan 14, 2025 · Gordon BrennerOutstanding service and world class craftsmanship. I was sold a terrible piano by a local chain store. My dream has always been to own a Steinway baby grand. After searching online inventories across the country, I found a 60 year-old used Model S for a reasonable price. I drove the hour plus to Lansing and Mr. Reeder personally met with me on the weekend to view the piano and gave me a tour of the factory. I whole-heartedly recommend Reeder if you're in the market for a piano or if you want to restore your own.
