Park Violins

Park violins came recommended from my kid's district program among few others around the area. I didn't like the instruments I was seeing from the other stores, so I set up an appointment to visit Park violins. It was clear their violin rentals were of better qualities. I play the violins too so I can tell. A very friendly, knowledgeable and honest business and I highly recommend them to anyone with string instrument needs!

James is truly a Master at his craft and great teacher, I gather from the fee interactions I've had with him. I'm grateful that he is within a five mile radius from our home. He's helpful and guides me through any questions or issues I've had with my daughter's violin! I'd highly recommend going to Park Violins!

I am an adult student taking violin classes. This experience has been the most fun by far. Mr. Park has an amazing personality and I enjoyed every class that I took. He has the ability to listen and understand where I am in my learning curve and adjust his lessons to my skill level. Mr. Park is knowledgeable, professional, understanding and very patient. Even on the days that I don’t feel like going, I go and not only does it make my day I feel accomplished. Rental is affordable and instruments are great quality. The shop has everything you need to start and more. I highly recommend this teacher to anyone.

I wholeheartedly trust James Park to work on our family violins and bows. Park Violins is a small workshop, so when you have a repair, you can be sure he is the one doing all the work. That being said, he's extremely quick with the turnarounds. He has an advanced degree in violin performance from a very top music school, but he also attended a top violin making school and a separate bow making schools. I've never heard of anyone in the area having all these incredible qualifications. He's also a really nice person, and he explains things really well. He may notice things that may be problematic at a future time on your instrument but never pushes you to get the extra work done. He's very honest and will tell you what kind of work may change the tone, so you can make an informed decision. Years ago, he restored a beautiful, but unplayable, antique violin for me. He brought back the life to this violin and made it sing! I've brought him more modern violins that sounded ill, and he magically cured them with a few adjustments. His bow re-hairs have never failed to impress me. Grateful to be a client for over 10 years!

My son has been taking lessons with Mr. James Park at Park Violins. Mr. James is a great teacher who is very patient with little kids. He is very particular about teaching the fundamentals, positions of hands and understanding the rhythm. My son enjoys the class and loves it when Mr. James plays songs with him making it a high energy jamming session! He also rents great quality instruments.
