IRC Music West Store

Stopped in to see the inventory as I was shopping for a telecaster. There were only used options, but the staff was maybe the most friendly I've ever encountered in a music store. They brought me a tuner, offered a pick and were very open to me trying different instruments. I did not end up purchasing a guitar here as they didn't have one that spoke to me, but would recommend checking them out in the future. I only drop a star off the review because it was a long drive and I wish they had their inventory online so you know if they have what you are looking for before you arrive. Other than that though, I don't regret the trip and always fun to check out guitars when you have a great welcoming staff.

Recently, went in and bought a new Taylor. They had a great selection and the guys in there were very friendly and taught me how to properly maintain the wood.

Highly recommended!! I placed a Fender special order for which they gave me their Black Friday discount even though it wasn't an in stock model! Guitar arrived in 3 business days and was setup beautifully by Chris who even asked for my specifications/requests beforehand. Place definitely has a small shop feel (personal attention, friendly, professional) but with the big shop inventory and even better pricing! I'm definitely a new, loyal customer and would highly recommend IRC over the local big box rivals. Thanks Chris and team - loving the new strat!

Great place for anyone who has little to know knowledge about instruments like me. The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I appreciate them offering and explain services for me. I'm new to learning guitar and had brought in one that had been sitting for over 10 years not being played. I asked for new strings and they informed me that they look great but the guitar itself could use fine tuning like straightening the neck and lowering the strings (I don't remember the term they used). It wasn't needed, but it would help, so I went ahead and had them do it. Before doing it, they had asked me and explained to me what it means, the cost and how long it would take. While I waited (about 10-15 minutes), I asked about getting a new case since mine was flimsy. Another employee assisted me and did a comparison about the different soft cases. Instead of trying to sell their top notch products like other businesses, they showed me very good budget friendly cases. I hadn't even mention being on a budget. So I felt like my money or time wasn't wasted. Pictures attached showing the old dirty flimsy case compared to the budget friendly soft padded case.

Super helpful staff. They looked a a guitar for me and let me know it was in excellent condition, for its age. They even tuned it for me. I highly recommended them for all things music and instruments.
