I genuinely fear I am giving away the best kept secret in the niche world of guitar repair. Yet, sharing my experience is the least I can do. I have been to guitar repair shops around the globe for 20 years and never once had anyone deliver in the way Andrew did at Sunrise. Andrew came in under his initial estimate (that was already generously low) and he finished the repairs a day earlier than he anticipated. He worked on it over the weekend and got it back to me Monday. Try finding any shop that will get you situated in under 2 weeks let alone 2 days! All of these factors are unprecedented from my experiences with guitar repairmen who are notoriously fickle. There aren't many that possess this unique skill set and if you take your instrument to guitar center they will almost certainly try to sell you new instrument under the guise your guitar would be more expensive to repair than replace. I brought in my beloved Martin XC1T Ellipse for some emergency repairs. The action was so high it was virtually unplayable due to losing all moisture. The dryness caused the lower body to bow inward and the soundboard to crack. This guitar has weathered many storms since I bought it in 2006. I feared this time I would be told it was beyond repair. It has been broken to pieces several times due to my own negligence. I tried to find one online and they were all sold out. I'll share the screenshots in the review (the one listing that showed the guitar as actively "for sale" in used condition turned out to be sold for $1,200). Yet, I didn't want another one (I'm deeply attached to mine). I didn't have time for the guitar to be in a shop for weeks or months on end. I ended up sending photos to Andrew at Sunrise who responded swiftly with a rather confident assessment he could save the guitar and do so with a short turnaround for an extremely reasonable cost. Boy did he deliver! Andrew is a remarkable rarity. He's a man who loves what he does. His craftsmanship and attention to detail are unparalleled. For the quality of his work his prices are outrageously fair. He ordered new strings for me and didn't mark them up a penny! He spent time teaching me how to properly care for my instrument so that I don't have this issue again. He's generous with his time and his passion for his work is unparalleled and inspiring. I'm overwhelmingly pleased with his work. All I can do to repay him is to be candid about what a tremendous experience I had with him and hope that he won't be too busy to help me again if I'm in a pinch. I will be referring all my friends to Andrew and I would prefer it if he's the only one to work on any of my instruments in the future. This was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a small business owner in my lifetime without hyperbole!

The lessons are great, his scheduling process is super convenient, and I love that he does both in-person and virtual lessons. Would recommend to anyone who wants to improve on guitar.

I definitely recommend him! I also have been taking bass lessons with him for years and he is a creative and careful teacher. I always learn a lot and have made steady progress.
