We are in GA and my son was searching for a piccolo rental for his All-State event in March. After looking online, he found Sweetwater, and we decided to rent from them. The piccolo arrived within the same week and was in excellent condition. However, it wasn’t the exact type he was looking for. Our account adviser, Tyler, guided us through every step of the exchange process, ensuring we received the right instrument the very early the following week. With limited time to find a piccolo, Sweetwater and Tyler went above and beyond to provide exceptional service and customer care. Imagine you moved to Ft. Wayne from Oklahoma City. So far it's been a super cool city, but who knows if certain resources/amenities will be comparable in a city 1/4 the size of where you're coming from? (P.S. OKC isn't exactly riddled with awesome music shops). So a few days after getting settled in here, I realized my acoustic's 6 strings were sounding pretty faded and hopped on Google maps to search for "music store", "guitar shop", etc. Oh, Ft. Wayne has a Guitar Center? Okay, that'll probably work (although I generally prefer to find a local shop if one is available). What's this Sweetwater Band & Orchestra? Surely this isn't THAT Sweetwater... Aren't they just an online retailer (and probably the best online retailer BTW)? Man, that sure does look like their logo 🤔 Think I'll check this out. Holy expletive... Not only is it THAT Sweetwater, this is their HQ!?! 🤯 I had NO idea! Aaaaaand... Not only are they headquartered here, but a huge part of their campus is a BEAUTIFUL, ENORMOUS music shop/school?! What's that? They threw in a 2 story corkscrew slide, café, performance area and more just for good measure?? I think employees were enjoying watching me walking around with my mouth agape 😲 What I saw for sale (and what I purchased) did NOT bear the markup this place could get away with. Which, duh, you're going to get the same competitive prices you've seen in their digital storefront. I must add to this review that on my initial visit I had limited interaction with staff, however the girl who checked me out was super friendly and helpful, and the peeps seated at the entrance greeted me when I came in and thanked me when I left 👍😎. I would also encourage anyone curious enough to still be reading at this point to examine the negative reviews left here. Anyone can have a negative experience anywhere. It happens at Disneyland people. The key is how the business responds to the complaint, and it is apparent (through responses here at least) that Sweetwater takes customer satisfaction seriously. That means a lot to me personally. If you are a musician (or hoping to become one) this place is just amazing. The size and selection will make your head spin. I almost pooped my pants when I saw the wall of cans (👋 audiophile here!) I can't imagine I'll EVER step foot in a cooler music shop. I HATE sounding like such a fan boy, but damnit when a business is spending the time, effort, and MONEY to do it right, they deserve a glowing review. With this place only a few miles from the house and a legit pinball arcade not far in the other direction, I may never leave Ft. Wayne... Can't wait to go back ✌️🤟🤘

I had rented a cello from Sweetwater and it was beautiful, it did come broken which I’ve came to the conclusion of it being from shipping, I had a warranty on it and I let them know what happened, and they sent me a free shipping label to send the broke one back and they sent out a new different brand real quick like, and it’s beautiful and sounds beautiful and seems to be what it’s worth, I’m happy with purchasing my instrument from them, they keep in touch to make sure everything is good and that your satisfied!

Sweetwater in Fort Wayne, Indiana is amazing, if your in the area and a big instruments, music equipment fan you have to check them out. The staff is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. It is a fantastic campus of music, there are so many things happening there ( you can even grab a quick lunch there)- it’s very cool.
