I recently got two guitars set up here for the first time. I purposefully picked one of my cheaper guitars ($200) and one of my nicer guitars ($900) to be setup. My cheaper one got the full works, except for cleaning up under the strings near the pickups. No big deal, I can do that. Asked for a missing nut on my cheaper, boom he got it, thanks man. My more expensive one literally just got new strings and adjusted action. No intonation was done, and my fretboard and body were still visibly dirty. I need these guitars back, so I decided not to argue as a first time customer, pay what was due, and in the future I'll be getting my setups done elsewhere. Shop is nice, guys seem knowledgeable, but my first time experience was subpar.

Let me trade/appraised some items and figured out what I would owe in cash before I ever set foot in the place(under the understanding all items were in the condition stated). I've never had a better experience and I have been in a lot of music stores over the years. Above and beyond in my book. Cool vintage 80s stuff, new items and their own brand of Aurora guitars Frank builds. Lessons and repairs as well. DeKalb needed a good music store.
Aug 19, 2023 路 Scott WebbGood selection of guitars, but don't come here for repairs. I came in 3 times for different repairs, and they were all done wrong/shoddy. And the price for their repairs are OUTRAGEOUS! If you need your instruments fixed, I urge you to go to Axe In Hand.
