My girlfriend and I looking for a wedding ring. But she did not want a diamond she wanted in alexandrite this turned out to be quite difficult to source. In the process of searching I walked into Rick's old gold and was meant by Tom. Explained to me that alexandrites are hard to come by and he didn't have any in the shop at the moment but you can get one in a couple days.( this didn't surprise me as I'd been searching for 3 months at this point) couple days later stopped in the shop and he explained to me that the deal he had lined up fell through, and not for me to worry he can still make it happen. I thanked him and we kept in touch. Fast forward 2 weeks he got me an Alexandra as promised. And it far exceeded my expectations in both the brightness of a stone and the price. In the end I paid far less for the stone than I would have anywhere else and I got a way more brilliant color change than I would have anywhere else. Tom and the team at Rick's old gold went way Above & Beyond to help me out and I couldn't be happier. We subsequently brought our wedding ring there and are currently in the process of getting that stone placed into this ring. 100% wonderful experience. Without going too in detail, because it was a unique situation, we had a very unexpected issue with my engagement ring that we purchased here, and kind of weren't expecting much from a pawn shop when we reached out to see if there was anything they could do. Rick and his team went above and beyond to address it and make sure we were taken care of. Thank you guys so much!

Unfortunately most of my items were costume, but still walked out with a little bit of money and a whole lot of knowledge. Tom was amazing and took the time to explain so much to me. He even wrote me lil “cheat sheet” note to use. Seriously! This place is a gem. Thank you Tom! Can’t wait until I collect more and come visit again.
