Not sure if have the answer to the problem, but I can definitely tell you what the problem is. Maybe they're doing the best they can...dunno. Anyway, every time I go there, there are never enough people working. Even if you just go there for strings, you will be waiting on multiple people to be helped before they can get to you. They put a guy in the queue who was just there to return something. Also, the guy I was with was so stressed, that he was trying to hurry me through the process. He told me that trade ins are an extra thing that they do. In that context, he was basically saying, "We are really busy, and you are an inconvenience with this request. Feel lucky I am helping you." So, yeah....not a fan of that guy. The other guy who was working in the guitar thing was cool, though. Sorry I didn't get names. Chunky long-haired go was the stressed one. The short-haired guy with really dark, maybe black hair, was the cool one.

I went to this store today to sell a Les Paul that I bought from this store back in 2012. I went over to the guitar counter and waited some time before going over to the other counter as that was where everyone was. No big deal they were busy. I finally got help from a clean cut guy and its a shame I didn't get his name because he was actually the high point of this otherwise insulting experience. I told him I wanted to sell the guitar so he took it over, checked it out, and remarked at how beautiful it was. However, he had some trouble finding a price for it and asked a co worker for help, and this is where it fell apart. That co worker very abruptly and abrasively informed both of us it was against the law to sell a guitar to guitar center on Sunday. Who knew? I certainly didn't. So I was like cool that's understandable, but could they give me an idea of the offer because if it was to low I would just keep the guitar. The nice guy I was working with was very cool and said yeah that shouldn't be a problem. I said yeah if its great I can come back tomorrow. Before we could go any further another co worker comes over and tells him not to do it because I am just going to take that number and flip it to someone else. I was immediately offended and even told him point blank that I'm dishonest like that. He just gave me a smirk and walked away. So i packed up the guitar and left. The guy that initially helped me was visibly embarrassed. If he sees this I'd tell him to run away from those guys he works with. I have been buying and selling at this store since 1998. Back then everyone was so positive and helpful, now they all seem so cynical and negative. There was a time I knew everyone in that store on a first name basis. I chose to take the guitar there knowing I would take a loss but I believe in keeping locally bought gear local. I was going to give them the business but I won't any longer. This place is a shadow of what it used to be.

We were shopping for a mid range guitar for my son. I was impressed with the selection -we found a great one at a good price..I was even more impressed with the service. Despite it being the Saturday before Christmas, each staff member we interacted with was friendly, helpful and didn't rush us. We ended up selecting a used electric guitar, Jake in service fixed a loose knob and then went over all the settings, checking and educating us along the way. Zach, our sales person, did a great job of making sure we were well taken care of. Would highly recommend!

I've been going to this location for years, but haven't much time for music for a while finishing up law school. Started playing again recently and decided to get a little nicer combo amp (EVH) for guitar than I've had before. Checked the stock online, went in and asked Zach, who was working there that afternoon, and he brought it right out from the back, and all the way to my car, in fact! Great service, and I'm sure I'll be back for more. Brick and mortar is alive and well, folks. Played some guitars while I was there, looked at other goodies. Shopping from the couch is great, but I think we all got enough the couch a few years back! Good selection if you're browsing, and if you know what you want, delivery to your car in a couple minutes is still faster than online!

A good friend of mine and the drummer of the band I’m in went to this guitar center to buy a new kick drum pedal. He bought an Iron Cobra single pedal for $200. He got home with it and opened the case and the beater for the pedal was missing… He also noticed that there was a Sam Ash sticker on the case that showed a lower price than Guitar Center charged him for it. What more than likely happened is Guitar Center took that pedal in on trade or bought it from a customer and didn’t even check to see if the beater was in the case. Or, someone bought the pedal from Sam Ash, removed the beater, and then returned it to Guitar Center and they didn’t catch it. Either way, absolutely unacceptable. He returned the pedal and got his money back and is going to a local percussion store instead now. Last summer I went to this Guitar Center to play and compare a 50’s vs. a 60’s Les Paul. They let me try them both out (under heavy supervision). When I was finished the sales rep was trying pretty hard to sell me on the 50’s one. It was a good price, but I didn’t want to buy one that had been a demo. The sales guy was a little pushy, but not too bad. I just don’t trust this place. I wouldn’t recommend making any big purchases from here. I have a feeling a lot of their inventory is b-stock but they sell it full retail. They don’t seem honest or knowledgeable.
