Heard about Central Ohio Music shop from my wifes hair stylist in London Ohio. She was telling me what a great store it was, how it was a local shop, and that I should check it out. Once my wife was finished with her hair cut we went straight to the store without stopping. When I walked into the shop I was warmly greeted by the owner Matt. He and I talked for some time and he was telling me about his guild guitar inventory and how he was looking to expand his shop and inventory in the future. We further discussed how great his shop placement was, as I explained I was from the Springfield Ohio area and we did not have much of a selection when it came to music stores more geared towards a wide variety of guitars and guitar accessories. I had my two young daughters with me that day as well and Matt was very awesome with them in the shop. He allowed my oldest who is dying to learn how to play guitar, play the guild travel model acoustic. When my daughter started to play around strumming it I could not believe that such a strong sound and melodic tone came from such a small guitar as the guild traveler. I have two Washburn dreadnought fullsize acoustic guitars and neither of them put out the sound that the little guild traveler put out. My daughter wanted the traveler really bad, but deep down I wanted it too, so since my daughter twisted my arm as I told my wife, I purchased it, and will definitely be on my way back this weekend to look at the guild om-140ce. To anyone who reads these reviews please support this wonderful shop. Family owned mom and pop guitar shops are going out of business left and right leaving us guitarist and all around music lovers with only overpriced commercial shops to go to. We really need this shop and I hope Matt's shop is so successful that he does get to expand the shop and his inventory, but he will only be able to do that with the help from folks like you and me.

Mar 28, 2025 · Austin BowersNice little music store! I was impressed with the selection of acoustics. I spoke with the owner, Matt, and he seemed very knowledgeable about his inventory and why he chose Guild as one of his brands. I'm also impressed with the selection of accessories. Good to know I have a local shop to grab some last minute strings or a replacement cable. I have plans to bring in one of my electric guitars for a tune up. I may update my review after the service.
Feb 01, 2025 · Chris GuardTook my Epiphone SG in to have some fretwork and other maintenance done just yesterday night, and had it back in my hands by 5:30 today. Matt did an amazing job fixing it up and keeping me updated, super friendly guy and very knowledgeable. I'm definitely going to be a repeat customer and telling my musician friends to check this place out!
