Feb 16, 2025 · Catherina PerkinsThis Best Buy used to be good I don’t know what happened. I went into geek squad today for a storage issue. I had to bring in my entire pc tower just for the geek squad lady to tell me she wasn’t going to look at it. Than proceeded to say I should just buy a whole new pc. Or I could send it in for a diagnostic test for $259 dollars. That’s insane. When I said it was the storage and I just wanted to see if there was something wrong she still refused to actually look at my PC and than said yea I don’t know what’s wrong with it. I ended up figuring it out on my own and turns out it is a $6 fix. Do you guys hire random people now who know nothing about technology? I swear I’ve never had such horrible and incompetent experience in my entire life. This could have all been avoided if she just looked inside my pc for a second like I asked.

When you call you don’t get human and it takes forever. If it wasn’t for the fact there’s not many options for tech support I wouldn’t take anything there. Poor service and communication!
Nov 09, 2024 · Robert KowalskiI want to talk to someone in Geek Squad at the local store, but every time I call the local number I end up speaking with someone in a call center overseas. When I explained that I want to speak to someone at the store, then literally hung up on me... twice! I dropped off 2 SSDs with Geek Squad early this week because I was having trouble transferring the data off one of them. They said it would take 1-2 days. Now it's day 4 and the work order online hasn't been updated at all. I also tried online chat but that person could only see the same thing I can see online. Personal service has gone out the window since I worked at Best Buy years ago. What a joke.
