Midlothian Music

I was recently gifted a baritone ukulele from Hawaii when some family members visited. Unfortunately a couple of the frets were a little high causing some buzzing. Whenever I would do certain chords. I originally got strings from Midlothian music since the guitar centers in the area didn't have baritone ukulele strings. When I picked up the strings, the owner was very helpful in talking through some nuance with first-time owners of string instruments. When I finally realized the buzzing wasn't because I was doing something wrong. I brought it in again and for a very reasonable price. They were able to fix it and he saved my strings that I originally strung prior to going to the shop. Excellent work and service. I will continue using this shop for my instrument needs going forward!

Ended up going here just on a google search. So glad I did. The store is amazing with a massive selection. I was greeted by the staff who were all friendly. I ended up trading a guitar in and buying another. I love the opportunity to support local shops vs the massive chains. This is a 1 stop shop for guitar and music related items. I did take a chance to read some of the reviews and can say the negative reviews are very false. This is a very fancy place and it is not uncommon to have a sign that says don’t take guitars off the wall, rather get an associate to help. There are very high priced guitars in this store and you can tell the owners have spent many years establishing an amazing business. I urge anyone in the area to check out this store. Will be back for sure!

I ordered online, 2 short scale chip board bass cases- purchased and paid separately including separate shipping charges. They shipped both together in the same Guitar box that was a few inches too short. With a little bubble wrap. Needless to say they were squished. When I called they told me to return them at my own expense. So I drove 40 minutes and returned them in person and received a full refund. I buy a lot of gear and never experienced such sloppy packing and unfriendly service. UPDATE TO REPLY: THEY EDITED THEIR REPLY AFTER MY INITIAL UPDATE, so let's go for round 2. I called and asked what bass these cases fit- they could not tell me. This is the first time I have ever heard of a music store selling something that they don't even know what it's for. The dimensions WERE not posted when I bought the cases. That is FALSE. They did ship it in a guitar box that was too small and there is wrinkling and dents on the cases, one moreso than the other. The fact that they are saying otherwise says a lot, just like their replies here on Google to ALL of their negative customer reviews (let alone essentially calling me a liar). They shipped these poorly, copped attitude on the phone, and in person- then blame the customer in reviews. So here's the proof and pics.

Ordered a guitar online. Item was shipped promptly. Guitar was exactly as shown and received no damage during shipment. Would definitely use again.

Another flawless purchase. The atmosphere at this shop is just amazing. Had to come in and grab one of the new esp ltd. Supporting local businesses that support law enforcement and military is amazing. This is a one stop shop for all your musical needs. Can’t wait to see what I end up buying from them next.
