I've been a customer of Libertyville Music for years, and my appreciation for the store grows with each visit. Whether it’s renting band instruments for my children or getting my guitars set up and serviced. The team over there consistently delivers top-notch service. Since Nicholas took over the floor last year, my communications have been seamless—his professionalism, steadiness, and passion for music is apparent to me. I also can't say enough about Matt, the guitar tech. His careful attention ensures my guitars are always in great shape. He also gives me honest and invaluable advice that I know I can trust. I contacted Libertyville music to gain some information on my current guitar, including inquiring about selling on consignment. Andy was incredibly helpful in my journey. I'm a pretty high energy person, and he dealt with me very calm, clear and understanding. We communicated the timeline of events very well and the service I had done on the guitar was SPOT ON. They provided ample paperwork and information. I thought because of it's location the prices would be on the higher end, and they bill affordably and appropriately. I'm a pretty experienced guitar guy but not too good with a soldering iron. Tried to fix my grandson's guitar and failed. Not wanting to disappoint my grandson I took the guitar to Libertyville Music. Mark took a quick look and carefully found and fixed where I went wrong. He was careful and did a great job but more important, he was able to do it right away. The price was more than fair. While there I looked around at their stock. This is a nice store. If you need a guitar or a repair, stop in here. They know what they are doing and have an excellent selection of fine instruments. Best of all they know what they are doing. They will give you solid advice and they sell excellent guitars and amps. Stop in and say hi you won't be sorry.

Recently brought an old guitar in for a repair and set up. They did a great job. I wish I would have brought it in years ago. Very affordable and excellent communicaton about the work was needed also.

I've been going here for years. I try to stop by every time I'm in town. They really take a lot of care in selecting which instruments they put up for sale, and I appreciate that. Everything in there is solid, and and at an excellent price point. All my guitars we're setup and wired, and rewired by Mark, the Grand Master luthier and technician. It was a bummer to hear he didn't work there anymore. But I'll still stop by every time I'm in town. I will always remember this place. It's where I got my first electric, my first amp, won my first mixer in the opening day raffle. Great local music shop.
