I called them out of the blue and a human being actually picked up! I had a confusing Steinway piano insurance replacement value question and Tim, the VP, gave me the most helpful and concise explanation. After our short call, I gave a sigh of relief that I was clear on how move forward to protect my family's Steinway grand. Chupp's restoration of our 1916 Model O brought much needed life back to this family heirloom. Their craftsmanship brought our piano back to life after years of inactivity and the effects of cold dry winters in Minnesota. They are truly craftsman tied the legacy of the Steinway family. We had the piano completely restored- soundboard replaced, new pins and hammers, ivory keys cleaned, and the wood finish redone. In addition to this, we had a player installed which does not change the mechanics of the piano, nor does it change the appearance of this restored work of art. I loved their passion and pride in their work while offering the ability of our family to enjoy decades of music playing in the future. Thank you Tim and company!

Remarkable piano restoration company. I have not personally leveraged their services, but know a few people who have. And the attention to detail in the restoration process is incredible. I've seen two pianos they rebuilt that were more then 60yrs old, and they looked brand new in every way. I'm told they played like it as well. I've heard from multiple sources the owners are super cool and easy to work with. Nice to have a unique small business such as this in the area.

It is scary to entrust a family heirloom, especially a Steinway built in 1899, to be restored. Chupp’s was very patient with me, as I checked references and asked lots of poignant questions. As a professional pianist, I wanted a great instrument that could be used, not a show piece. Chupp’s far exceeded my expectations. The finish was restored to its original mahogany, which is stunning. More importantly, the instrument itself was restored to play and sound like it did when it was first built in 1899. It is a joy to play. They even provided documentation for insurance coverage.
