I had a great time at the Fuzz Pedal Workshop! It was a great introduction to building pedals. Rich and his staff were very knowledgeable, welcoming, and friendly. They made sure to give individual attention to everyone and sort out any problems so that everyone leaves with a working pedal. I will definitely be back for a future pedal workshop! I'm excited to learn more.

Sep 25, 2023 · Ross NelsonI did a fuzz pedal workshop with Chicago GuitarSpace over the weekend of the 23rd and 24th of September, and I had a fantastic time. Richard, Sam, and Tanisha were incredibly helpful with teaching soldering and troubleshooting, and were also generally pleasant people to get along with. I’d highly recommend checking out any of their workshops they put on, as well as talking to them about instrument and gear repairs. These are very capable and efficient people.
Sep 24, 2023 · teddyGreat shop. Owner is very friendly and easy to work with. I had a squier bass VI set up done and he talked me through what he would do and gave me some recommendations on strings to make it play and sounds as good as possible. Really a wonderful guy. Prices are extremely reasonable. His guitar builds are awesome the man is a true Craftsman. I'm really happy overall and can't recommend him enough. If your looking for a set up done call him first before guitar Center or any other shop.
Jun 10, 2021 · David WilliamsonI have to say, there was a lot of very good instruction and a fun class full of people at the fuzz pedal workshop in September. Despite literally burning my circuit board to toast I had fun learning a bit about electronics and (eventually learning) which end of the soldering iron not to scratch my forehead with. And in the end, I have the entire team to thank for the working pedal of my own design that I left with -which I of course promptly blew up within a week in further experiments with ...electricity and.. yknow-- wires and stuff... paperclips, mostly... some coffee. So, yknow.. Yeah. Good times. Do the things.
Oct 14, 2023 · ScottIt's really impressive to see guitars being produced by hand when you walk into the shop! It's not advertised, but it's really easy to park right in front, on the street, no meters! My Gibson SG was made during a year that Gibson was using some sort of black plastic-like material for the nut. I took it into Rich to have a bone nut made; and get new strings and a setup. Came back better than new. I've wasted my time and money at other 'popular' guitar repair places. Don't do that, go to Chicago Guitar Space. Thank you Rich Highly recommended, fair prices, superb quality work.
