I grew up shopping at Meijer I always liked it better than Walmart but to be honest I go to Walmart more often than I do to Meijer because your carts are so hard to push that's really annoying it makes for an unpleasant shopping experience. Walmart has really bad carts for you guys to have even worse ones is pretty bad! I always have a bad experience at your checkout and your tags for deals in the store are always out dated make for a time wasting and frustrating experience. Today was a prime example I am now late for work because I was held hostage at yourself check out for 30 minutes at which point I demanded that somebody let me leave because you're self-checkout system freezes when they're looking up something for you they never found me the answer in that time and I had to go because I have to go to work but I couldn't leave the things that I needed for my family. Google asked for an updated clearance items still not ringing in at the correct price. Always have to waste my time at check out.

Absolutely wretched experience at the "customer service" counter of Grandville Meijer on the afternoon of Saturday 11/9 approximately 3:00 PM. One male employee running the counter. My husband & I were the only customers--all we needed to do was make a simple return. As we approached, this employee literally turned away from us and appeared to be talking on his personal phone. Never acknowledged us in the slightest. Completely ignored us in every way while we stood patiently at the counter waiting. This went on for several minutes until I finally interrupted his very important personal phone call to ask him if we should come back another time. The answer I got was, "Yes, unless you want to wait until I'm off the phone." Needless to say we left. This is about as bad as customer service gets, and this person should definitely not be staffing an area that is specifically labeled 'Customer Service.' Later in the day I ended up making my return at the Gaines Twp Meijer instead where my experience was delightful, friendly and accommodating in every way. I'm not sure how these two stores could be so different but your service staff person at the Grandville store is lacking courtesy, helpfulness, friendliness, manners and professionalism in every way.

Staff is always friendly and polite. Prices are fair. Produce dept. more times than not has bad produce, i.e. peppers, potatos, cucumbers, ect. But all and all they are a great store! Thank you Meijer!! 😇

I was at the Meijers in Grandville and I was checking out at the self service station, I had scanned all my items and used my debit card to pay. Straight forward transaction. The issue was as I was loading my bags in my card it tells me to take my change. I didn't ask for extra money nor did I get my receipt. When I flagged a cashier and she fixed the receipt problem, but couldn't explained why I got cash back. She did get another cashier to come over and looked at the receipt I did get, and she said I must of accidentally made the transaction myself. I know that I did not hit any wrong buttons. Was not happy with there explanation. Very disappointed. I can't afford a machine to take money out of my acct. when I didn't ask for it. Sounds like better maintenance is needed on there machines and employees who can give out better explanations.
