Laura and Chris are wonderful! Laura does a great job with bow re-hairs and is very responsive. Chris is a master luthier, does excellent repair work and is extremely fair and honest. I can’t say enough good things about them and highly recommend this shop for all your string needs. I play professionally and bought a student violin from them years ago as a back up instrument and have been very pleased with it. I’ve moved away from the Indianapolis area, but continue to send my instruments to them as needed for repairs

I recently had a need for my bow to be repaired as well as a replacement viola bridge, and they were able to do both in a day and have it ready the next afternoon. I've also had excellent experiences here purchasing my current violin and bow. I can't recommend Indy Violins highly enough for any string instrument need you might have.
Mar 02, 2024 · John TaglangGot a new bridge for my cello. He found a seam needing repair during the visit. He's very good at answering quesions and keeping you informed on the progress of the job. The tone is improved and the string action is much better now. Very happy with the outcome.

Chris has been very friendly and helpful every visit to the shop, even after my daughter dropped the instrument and fatally cracked the body. I was able to switch to a new one and have reasonable insurance payment terms. I’m happy to have been supporting a small business without the tyranny of the default arrangement through the school.
