Jul 21, 2024 · Alexander BaylerianDean addressed the issue of an annoying 60 cycle noise my Morgan PR12 Combo Amp was making and also upgraded the speaker to a Jensen CK12 as well as adjusting the amp bias. The speaker upgrade really took the brakes off of the Morgan and now it sounds incredible, especially if you are directly plugged in and want a traditional clean Jazz sound. I will be using his services for all of my tube amp needs from now on.
Dec 05, 2024 · Mike SmithsonDean does great work. I took my Fender HR DeVille to him and unfortunately had to leave it but I know it's in good hands. Took my dad's Blues Jr for minor repair and some upgrades including a Jensen Special Design and left with it that day. My dad couldn't be happier with it. I like that he let me hang out and watch him work, he actually preferred that I stay while he explained everything he was doing. Dean seems to be an honest straight forward guy after meeting him one time and I'll definitely go back when I can afford two Jensens and a couple other upgrades for the HR DeVille.

I brought my vintage Altec Lansing PA head in (that I use as a guitar amp head) and he was able to fix the problem and get it working in about a week (I was expecting 6 weeks). His price is very reasonable and he's a very nice person to talk to. He also has some vintage amps (guitar and home audio) to sell and has some custom made pedals at very reasonable prices.

He’s fixed quite a few amps for me, including a Marshall 18w clone, a barn find 5 watt Gibson skylark that was in rough shape and had a beehive in it, and a 1982 deluxe reverb. Also I can’t recommend his custom build on the epi valve junior enough. He’s usually got a waitlist if you need a larger project done, but if you need a repair he’ll let you hangout and wait while he works on your amp to get you back up and running in no time. And you always leave his shop having learned something. Thanks Dean, always appreciate your hard work and knowledge!
